ANALYSIS OF GREEN TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT IN KAZAKHSTAN

Although Kazakhstan is a fossil fuel rich country, there strong desire by policymakers to develop green and sustainable economy contribute the global energy transition. To understand overall situation in technology development industrial sector, we conducted first countrywide study Kazakhstan. In this paper, present results of large survey on use ‘green technologies’ companies every region country. We aggregate 380 reported cases technologies sectors, like production, waste management, some others. found that largest number accumulated management smallest, building construction. Our work shows only 266 out 877 (~30%) organizations utilize form technologies. Based detailed analysis 141 organizations, Karagandy, East Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Atyrau regions applications among 17 administrative-territorial units also discuss barriers diffusion clean believe will be interest politicians, environmentalists, practitioners who are concerned about impacts warming.
